- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Apparently, they have very little experience with birds. Our parrot was taken in to have his nails and beak trimmed. We were surprised when Dr. Panko didn't appear to know how to pick him up from my shoulder. We were further surprised that the trimming was not done right there in the exam room as have all the previous trimming from other vets. When our parrot was returned to us his feathers were disheveled and his left foot was bloodied! "He flew off the table". And, "Yes, I got too close to the quick." Wha?! He used clippers and not a dremel! Never again.January 12, 2017by Randy Davidson
